When I was diagnosed with Wolff-Parkinson-White syndrome in the middle of my final exams for my Classics degree, Cardiac Risk in the Young helped me through that difficult time. They supported me all the way through my ablation operation, and through the additional tests in the year after that which finally diagnosed me with sinus tachycardia.
Now that my heart is (relatively) stable and my life is back to normal, I want to do something big to raise awareness for the amazing work that Cardiac Risk in the Young do. What better way to do that than combine my knowledge of ancient history (like Hadrian’s Wall) and a big physical challenge?!
So my partner and I are going to walk 70 miles along Hadrian’s Wall this July – and we’re going to film it too. Watch this space for updates on our journey!
